Born on July 29, 1965, in
Pembrokeshire, Wales, Carl served his apprenticeship with Stan Mellor
and Jim Old. Rode his first winner on Starjestic at Wolverhampton on
March 14, 1986. Carl lives in Wantage, Oxfordshire and is a prolific
jumps jockey - riding a remarkable 5 winners at the National Hunt
Festival, winning the Grand National twice and riding over 500 winners to
date. One of the
leading jump jockeys in the UK.
